Whitening
What does it involve?
Professional teeth whitening uses high-concentration bleaching agents activated with LED light to remove intrinsic and extrinsic stains. Unlike over-the-counter kits, in-office whitening is supervised by a professional who protects gums and soft tissues.
Step by step
Evaluation
We review the condition of the enamel and current shade.
Protection
We protect gums and soft tissues.
Application
We apply the whitening agent with LED light.
Result
We evaluate the result and adjust if necessary.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about whitening
How many shades lighter will the teeth get?+
Results vary depending on the starting shade and type of stains, but on average 4 to 8 shades lighter are achieved in a single in-office session. For very deep stains, more than one session may be required.
Does whitening damage the enamel?+
Supervised professional whitening does not damage enamel. The gels used act on pigments without altering the tooth structure. Post-treatment sensitivity is temporary and usually disappears within 24-48 hours.
How long do the results last?+
With good hygiene habits and avoiding highly pigmented foods and drinks (coffee, tea, red wine), results can last 1 to 3 years. We offer at-home maintenance kits to prolong the effect.
Does it work on crowns, veneers, or implants?+
No. Whitening only works on natural teeth. Restorations (crowns, veneers, implants) do not change color with whitening gel. If you have visible restorations, we advise you on the best aesthetic options.
